GEO SEO Claude: audit your app’s website for AI search
Published
A Claude Code toolkit for reviewing how your website presents itself to AI search. Use its audits to find content, crawler, and structured-data issues, then measure whether your changes help people discover your app.
What to take into your own app
Start with the website around your app
The project groups website reviews into crawler access, content, brand presence, schema, and platform-specific checks. It requires Claude Code, Git, and Python 3.10 or later. Its MIT license makes the code available to inspect and adapt; running it still depends on your own setup.
Choose a focused audit
The documented commands include /geo quick <url> for an initial snapshot, /geo crawlers <url> for robots.txt checks, and /geo schema <url> for structured data. A full /geo audit <url> combines several specialist reviews into a prioritized report. Start with one page you can improve.
Treat the score as a checklist
The citability script scores passages using rules for answer structure, self-contained wording, readability, statistics, and other signals. Our reading of the code: this is a heuristic assessment, not a measured probability that an AI service will cite your page. A higher score does not establish more traffic or sales.
Connect findings to a builder’s next step
Our suggested use: review a landing page, a product FAQ, or a useful guide for your app’s audience. Correct factual gaps, make important answers easy to find, and check that structured data matches visible content. Keep App Store keyword tracking separate: this tool audits websites, not app search positions.
A small experiment to try
Pick one page and save its current copy and search performance. Run a focused review, verify the findings against the page, and make one useful improvement. Record the date and watch actual impressions, visits, sign-ups, or observed citations afterward. Use those outcomes to decide what to do next; an audit score alone is not evidence of growth.
