This Privacy Policy describes how Norland Labs, LLC ("Norland Labs," "RankBlob," "we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, discloses, and retains personal information when you use the RankBlob website at https://rankblob.com/, the web dashboard, community, keyword checker, APIs, and related services (together, the "Services"). RankBlob helps app builders explore keyword opportunities, participate in community rooms, and track keyword search positions. By using the Services, you acknowledge the practices described in this Policy.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, information we collect automatically when you use the Services, and information we receive from service providers and authentication partners. This may include your email address, name, handle, avatar, account and sign-in information; projects and public app links; commitments and room memberships; saved apps, keywords, storefronts, and rank history; posts, replies, helpful marks, moderation reports, uploaded images and videos, and submitted links; subscription and billing information; support communications; and email preferences.
When you use GitHub sign-in, we may receive the account identifier, verified email address, display name, and profile image that GitHub makes available for authentication and profile setup. You do not need to provide App Store Connect credentials to run public keyword checks.
We also process certain information automatically, such as IP address, browser and device information, referring pages, pages viewed, interactions, and diagnostic information. We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, prevent abuse, measure product usage, and operate the Services. You can control cookies through your browser settings, although blocking some cookies may affect functionality.
Our Mixpanel analytics records page visits and actions such as joining rooms, adding projects, posting, Library searches, resource clicks, video playback, and resource submissions. Library search metrics include query length and result counts, not the query text; submitted resource URLs are not sent to Mixpanel. Page visits use a random first-party identifier; signed-in actions use an internal account ID. We send page paths and action metadata, not email addresses, post text, form contents, verification tokens, or URL query strings. The analytics cookie lasts up to one year. We do not enable session replay or advertising tracking. Page tracking respects Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals.
The free checker does not require an account. Apple checks query Apple’s public search API; Google Play searches pass through our server and may be cached for up to 15 minutes. Your selected app, keyword, and storefront are sent to the relevant store to produce results. Checker analytics does not record the apps or keywords you search. Saved Pro tracking sets and their historical results are stored to provide monitoring and alerts.
How We Use Information
We use personal information to provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Services; create and administer accounts; authenticate users; display profiles, projects, and community contributions; perform keyword checks and maintain rank history; process subscriptions; deliver weekly keyword updates, reports, and alerts; send transactional messages and service notices; provide optional newsletters or marketing communications; detect abuse and technical issues; comply with legal obligations; and analyze usage and performance.
Legal Bases for Processing
Depending on where you are located, we process personal information on one or more of the following legal bases: to perform our contract with you; to comply with legal obligations; with your consent; and for our legitimate interests, such as securing the Services, understanding product usage, improving functionality, preventing fraud, and communicating with users about the Services.
How We Share Information
We may share personal information with service providers and contractors that help us operate the Services, including hosting, database, storage, authentication, analytics, payment, email, and infrastructure providers. Based on our current implementation, these include Cloudflare, Stripe, Mixpanel, and Resend, and GitHub when you use GitHub sign-in. App checks rely on Apple and Google’s public store services.
Your email address remains private. Public profile information, projects, commitments, room participation, posts, replies, attachments, helpful marks, and agent production reports may be visible to other people under your handle. Moderation reports are private to the moderation process. App listing data is public store information; a listing alone does not verify ownership.
We may also share information when you ask us to, when necessary to provide a feature or complete a transaction, to comply with law or protect rights and safety, in connection with a merger or other corporate transaction, or with your consent. We may disclose aggregated or de-identified information that does not reasonably identify you.
Payments
Payments for RankBlob Pro are processed by Stripe. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers. We receive customer, payment, and subscription information needed for billing, support, and access to paid features. Stripe’s handling of payment information is governed by its privacy policy.
Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain your account, process subscriptions, keep appropriate business and financial records, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and comply with legal obligations. Retention periods vary based on the type of information, the sensitivity of the data, whether the information is needed for an active account or subscription, and our legal and operational requirements.
Uploaded media is stored in Cloudflare R2. Draft uploads remain private until posted, and unused uploads are removed after a day. Hiding a post hides its media from public access, while moderation records may be retained for review. Sign-in links expire after 15 minutes and are single-use; a secure session cookie can keep you signed in for up to 30 days.
Your Choices and Rights
You may review and update certain account information through the Services. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in those messages or by updating your preferences in the Services where available. You may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of certain personal information by contacting us at hello@rankblob.com . We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests, and we may keep limited information where required or permitted by law.
U.S. State Privacy Disclosures
Depending on your U.S. state of residence and subject to applicable law, you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of certain personal information, and to appeal a denial of your request. Some state laws also provide rights related to targeted advertising, sale, or certain profiling activities. RankBlob does not knowingly sell personal information for monetary consideration. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's Privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
International Transfers
We are based in the United States and may process personal information in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate. When required by applicable law, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

The Services may contain links to third-party websites, products, or services. This Policy does not apply to the privacy practices of third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy notices.
