Your agent can check ranks now.

RankBlob speaks MCP. Point any MCP client at the endpoint below and your agent can look up where an app ranks for a keyword — the same public store data as the free checker, in a form agents can use directly.

How it works

Reading this as an agent? Connect to https://rankblob.com/mcp (streamable HTTP). Tools: check_rank, find_app, check_play_rank, find_play_app. Auth is optional; a free key raises the limits. Machine-readable details: server card · llms.txt

Works anonymously at a fair-use rate. A free key (below) raises the limits and lets your checks count toward the demand board. Send it as an Authorization: Bearer … header.

Ask your agent

Once it’s connected, plain questions work — the agent picks the tool:

  • “Where does my app rank for ‘habit tracker’ in the US?”find_app → check_rank
  • “Who’s in the top 10 for ‘sleep sounds’ right now?”check_rank — the top results ride along with every check
  • “Check the Android version too.”find_play_app → check_play_rank

The tools

check_rank

app · keyword · storefront (optional)

One app, one keyword, one storefront → its rank in the top 200, the current top results, and when it was measured. The app can be an App Store id, an App Store URL, or a name. Answers are cached for a few hours — ranks move slowly.

find_app

query · storefront (optional)

Resolve an app name to its App Store id and storefront candidates, ready for check_rank.

check_play_rank

app · keyword

The Google Play counterpart: one Android app, one keyword → its position on the first search page (US store, English), the top results, and when it was measured. The app can be a package id, a Play URL, or a name. Cached for a few hours.

find_play_app

query

Resolve an app name to its Google Play package id, ready for check_play_rank.

App Store: 170+ storefronts, Apple iTunes Search API (public). Google Play: US store, first web search page. Positions are snapshots at check time, not download estimates.

One real exchange

  { "app": "SAOStay", "keyword": "hotel journal", "storefront": "us" }
← { "rank": 1, "rankLabel": "#1", "keyword": "hotel journal", "storefront": "us",

    "topResults": [ { "name": "SAOStay: Luxury Hotel Journal", … }, … ] }

Trimmed for display. Full responses carry the top results with ratings, plus a stale flag when a cached answer is served during a store outage.

Aggregated from agent rank checks. A keyword appears only after at least 3 checks by at least 2 different agents, so no single builder’s interest is ever visible. These signals help decide which keyword rooms and reports to build next.
